Provided by our trained and insured equine massage therapist, Equiphoria offers a range of options tailored to suit your needs. Scroll down to find details of the services we offer.
As an
option to each service, we also offer Kinesiology taping (Equi-Tape®) if it is required, and these can be selected when you book.
Equine Sports Massage
Initial (First) Treatment
Session Time:
Please allow around 1.5 - 2 hrs of your time in order to complete this consultation.
Options:
- Standard Massage
- Massage plus Kinesiology Taping Session
Visit Pre-requisites:
- Your horse must be cleaned and brushed before our arrival. Our service does not include for this.
- We may require to see your equine being ridden or lead during our visit. Please ensure tack is available if this is required. Equiphoria Ltd. will not tack up your equine.
- Yard supervision must be informed of our appointment date and time.
- Veterinary referral may be required prior to our arrival. We will arrange for this to be completed but will require details of your registered vet.
Visit Plan:
- Introductions and review/completion of paperwork
- Review background history of your Equine and any recent medical treatments.
- View equine being lead or ridden (if applicable)
- Carry out full body assessment to identify any areas of concern
- Carry out massage treatment
- Carry out Kinesiology Taping Treatment (Where required - optional extra)
- View equine being lead or ridden (if applicable)
- Provision of Post Massage Advice leaflet
- Discuss further exercises with the owner/rider and arrange future booking (as applicable)
- Typed summary report to be made available within 48 hrs of each session
Travel:
Our standard price includes travel up to 10 miles from Mintlaw town centre (AB42 5EB). Mileage will be quoted during the initial call if applicable. Payment for this will be by separate arrangement.

Follow Up Treatments
Session Time:
Please allow 1 - 1.5 hrs of your time in order to complete this consultation.
Visit Pre-requisites:
- Your equine must be cleaned and brushed before our arrival. Our service does not include for this.
- We may require to see your equine being ridden or lead during our visit. Please ensure tack is available. Equiphoria Ltd. will not tack up your equine.
- Yard supervision must be informed of our appointment date and time.
Visit Plan:
- Update any pre-treatment documentation as required
- Review progress since last session and address any queries or concerns with owner/rider.
- Carry out massage treatment
- Carry out Kinesiology Taping Treatment (Where required - optional extra)
- View equine being lead or ridden to assess for improvement
- Provision of Post Massage Advice leaflet
- Discuss further exercises with the owner/rider and arrange future booking (as applicable)
- Updated typed summary report to be made available within 48 hrs of each session
Travel:

Equine Sports Massage
Pre & Post Event Massage
Session Time:
Please allow 1/2 - 3/4 hr to complete this consultation.
Visit Pre-requisites:
- Your equine must have previously been seen by us for a first session around 6 weeks prior to your event, to ensure initial assessment has been carried out.
- Your equine must be cleaned and brushed before our arrival. Our service does not include for this.
- Yard/event supervision must be informed of our appointment date and time, and any applicable clearances for access pre-arranged with us.
Visit Plan:
- Introductions and review/completion of paperwork
- View equine being lead or ridden (as applicable)
- Carry out sports pre or post event massage treatment (focusing on the soft tissues which will be most used in the chosen discipline)
- Brief typed report to be made available within 48 hrs of each session
Travel:
Our standard price includes travel up to 10 miles from Mintlaw town centre (AB42 5EB). Mileage will be quoted during the initial call if applicable. Payment for this will be by separate arrangement.
